A seasoned leader in government relations, public affairs, and communication management, Mutch brings decades of experience in legislative advocacy, coalition building, and nonprofit leadership to the organization.

Just ask William Mutch, the new executive director of Colorado Concern, a lobbying organization whose membership includes about 80 of the biggest names in Colorado's business world.

I’m proud to report we have had a successful 2022 legislative session with our second-year as an active and organized coalition, with a full-time advocacy presence at the Colorado State Capitol. In contrast to last year’s unprecedented amount of legislation around landlord-tenant relationships, things have returned to a more normal pace this year.

William Mutch isn’t an elected official, but he’s spent as much time around the halls of government as some politicians.

It turns out a member of the team that navigated the bill through the legislative process was another longtime presence at the Capitol, William Mutch, and we wound up catching up with him, too. Mutch, a onetime chief of staff to then-Senate President John Andrews, was hired by Colorado Early Colleges to be its eyes and ears during the session.

William Mutch is the new director of government affairs and public policy for the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs.

William Mutch has 20 years of political and government relations experience on Capitol Hill and representing some of America’s largest companies as a Federal lobbyist in Washington, D.C.
